About Us, So What's The Story?
Ring That Guy was founded in 2025 by James Lockyer. After completing his plumbing apprenticeship in 2007 he bounced around a few suburbs across Sydney and started a new career in rope access. Whist dangling from a set of ropes, James maintained a variety of plant and industries around Australia and overseas having the time of his life!
Shortly there after James co-founded a renewables company in 2009 specialising in rope access, which at its peak was employing 130+ staff helping to keep the wind energy industry spinning across Australia. He also officially relocated to the Central Coast in 2013 to wed his local sweetheart and to start his family and officially kick off the dad jokes.
James's business was aquired in 2023 and after after taking some time off, and he started thinking "whats next"? James was consistently hearing and seeing how hard the people of the coast found it to find trades. And it wasn't just finding trades, it was finding those who would communicate, were willing to help, happy to carry out the small projects and were reliable.
It didn't come as a surprise to those who know James, though he knew by bringing plumbing, carpentry and business knowledge together and a willingness to help support the Central Coast, Ring That Guy was bound to be born.
The name "Ring That Guy" first came to us by thinking about what someone would say to a friend when asking for a trade recommendation, and the reply would be something along the lines of "oh just ring that guy, they will get it sorted" and there you have it!
Our goal is to be able to consistently help the people that call the beautiful Central Coast home by supplying reliable and consistent plumbing and property maintenance services. With the clients always at the front of mind, we aim to hero old fashioned customer service which never leaves you wondering where we are, are we coming or will they come back to us.
By exclusively operating on the Central Coast and focusing on further growth, we hope to be able to help you with your next project soon.
